About the role
Reporting to the Director of Transportation and Data Analytics, you’ll play a key role in supporting a high-performing team, delivering complex projects, and shaping the future of transportation at Blue Barn. This position blends operational oversight with client engagement, mentoring, and strategic contribution – all within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Providing leadership across project delivery, technical assurance, and team development
Overseeing multidisciplinary transportation projects – ensuring quality, safety, and profitability
Building strong client and stakeholder relationships, based on trust and technical confidence
Contributing to business development and supporting the growth of our client base
Promoting sustainable transport outcomes and integrating best practice into everything we do
What you’ll bring:
CPEng registration and 14+ years of experience in transportation engineering
Proven experience delivering a wide range of transport projects, from active modes to complex roading upgrades
A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing others
Strong project and commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering quality outcomes
Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing environments
A commitment to sustainability, health and safety, and technical excellence
