Civil 3D Designer

We have a large amount of work and we are being signed up for more work on a daily basis.

And we're looking for an experienced AutoCAD Civil 3D designer with New Zealand experience to join our Civil Design / Land Development team for our rapidly expanding firm, and take the design lead on a number of new jobs that are just getting underway,

We are a project-orientated, client-facing business. We are into fun, profitability and making a difference in our communities.

If you're up to a challenge, want to be a big part of a growing success story and can tick the following - then we'd really like to hear from you:

  • Civil 3D proficient (can hit the ground running)

  • Alternatively, we will also consider 12D/MX designers, who are prepared to convert to Civil 3D with 2-3 week's tutoring

  • 5-15+ years New Zealand CAD design experience

  • Currently in a CAD design role

Director of Structural Engineering

Established in 2008, Blue Barn is a roading, civil and structural engineering consultancy dedicated to serving blue-chip clients and delivering professional engineering services all while working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

We are at the start of a 3-year growth phase and are looking for a Director of Structural Engineering to lead our talented team and serve a solid base of existing clients and projects.

To be successful in the role you will require the following.

  • Strong Business development track record
  • Demonstrable leadership credentials
  • Technical “muscle”
  • A BE or an equivalent qualification
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) - including solid seismic design experience
  • 15 years' or more experience in a similar role and preferably in New Zealand
  • Currently in a senior technical role and currently leading a team
  • A significant background in detail design
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to be a team player
