Your most interesting projects / accomplishments?

If I have to chose a few of them that would be:

The Structural Design of 3 stadiums for Athens Olympic Games 2004.

The World’s first commercial application of the Applied Element method on a heritage building in New Zealand and the development of a methodology for the Performance Based assessment for heritage buildings.

The retrofit of the large scale hotel in Athens with just two weeks shutdown within a two year construction programme.

The assessment of a heritage URM building in New Zealand which saved the owner over 2 million on unnecessary strengthening works. 

What you love most about your job?

Projects with engineering challenges, interaction with clients and people of the construction industry, opportunities to win new projects, cost savings for my clients through innovation, value engineering and smart buildable solutions.

Why you followed this career path?

I always had the ambition to change the world!

Engineering gives me the opportunity to have a small contribution in shaping the world we live. This challenge is enough for me at the moment.

Your interests outside of work?

Windsurfing, gym and spending time with my son and the family.

What or who motivates you?

I have a great passion for innovation and new technologies. These aspects motivate me in my everyday Engineering work.

I am highly motivated by the business success and the interaction with positive and optimist people.

Who do you love to work with?

I love to work with my team and our clients. The team’s culture is for me one of the most important part of the business. It drives the success and the work satisfaction.

Positive people with great ideas that help the business grow is my favourite combination.
